Dewey Short Visitor Center
FREE to visit. The new visitor center opened April 27, 2012 and has been called the "crown jewel" of Table Rock Lake. Three stories of interactive exhibits provide information on the six US Army Corps of Engineers dams, including Table Rock Dam, that work as a system to manage water within the White River Watershed. Interactive exhibits include Native Americans, Ozarks wildlife, flood risk management, hydropower, recreation, environmental stewardship, fish hatchery, and water safety. The fascinating history of the US Army Corps of Engineers rounds out the exhibits. Two levels of outdoor decks allow you to take in the breathtaking views of the lake and dam. Picnic tables and benches available. Federal park passes available for purchase.
